I need a new motherboard for an 1100 so I went ebay shopping. Motherboards are for 1100/5100,
I happen to have both an 1100 and a 5100. The 5100 has a video card and the 1100 has a card that plugs in the same place as the 5100 but it is not a video card.
I did try plugging the 1100's card into the 5100 and it did not work.
So how can the motherboard be for both, different versions of the same board?
Bios different to support video?
Or will this 1100 motherboard need a different video card?
Thanks
They are not the same.
The 1100's have onboard video...intergrated graphics and the 5100's have real graphics cards.
