It should be 1.4GHz, which was shown on the order. However, it is 1.7GHz now. I am afraid that 1.7GHz is too high so the laptop goes to screen freezing so often.
Overclocking -- probably overheating -- Not good. I suggest always running laptop processors w/ speedstep (if applicable) or if anything at their designated speed. With a desktop pc, its a bit different cause you can add extra fans, etc... but with a laptop your ventilation is quite limited.
It is 1.7GHz. How to change the CPU freq? I really want lower it to 1.4GHz. The laptop works unstablely right now. I am thinking the overclocking is the killer.
