Go into your BIOS and set "Panel Fitting" or "Display Spanning" to Enabled...

OK, can anyone offer an explanation as to why the Video setting does not remain in the BIOS after a short period of time? If I shutdown and then restart some time later, the setting goes back to Disabled, thus the small boot screen size again.

Can anyone offer any insights? Much appreciated.

Your CMOS battery is most likley dead...

The CMOS battery is a small battery that keeps your BIOS powered to enable settings to be remembered. If this battery dies the settings will always revert back to their default when the machine is powered off. If your machine is under warrenty Dell should replace it...

This notebook is only a couple months old... :(

Is there a test that I could perform in order to diagnose the CMOS battery? Also of note, my time settings still seem to be accurate despite this...

Thanks.
