The chipset software refers to the Intel chipset drivers which you need to install in order that all your hardware is properly recognised within the operating system!
By chipset software do you mean BIOS software? Because i have already installed the device driver softwares for the modem, vga card, mouse and sound card, they are working fine.
I did all this but there is no driver for the chipset instead there are all the drivers for the agp card, sound card and the rest and also BIOS but there is no Chipset driver.
I'll try again
thanks for the reply just mail me if you have something new.
Hi i tried this earlier but after installation it says that this software does not support the operating system on my laptop.
My Operating system is Windows XP professional. So how come?

Bye the way which can you tell me exactly which SIS motherboard it has like which number SIS xxx?
I have searched for the chipset on dell website but still havent found it so went to SIS website but there had to put the exact motherboard number.
I even tried with google. But not knowing te series number made it more difficult.
Thanks.
