Is your laptop set to the correct TV system (Pal or NTSC)?

I have tried both settings and they both display in black and white.  How do I determine which is the correct setting?

If you are in europe, you probably want PAL unless you are in the old eastern bloc or France where you will want SECAM. If you are in the US, you want NTSC.

I got the same problem these days. The TV-display is only black and white after the driver update. The update came withe the automatic Windows-Update. After installing the previous video-driver-version the TV-display works correct/fine again.  (Now the Windows-Update detects the old driver and wants to intall the new nvidia-driver again :-(

I don't know why there is a problem with the new driver. I only know the solution to install the previous driver. Is there anyone who knows why the new driver doesn't work with PAL TV?

What has been changed to the actual version?

Thanks for your answers,
