No Video on PowerEdge 2850

Question

We recently had some rennovations done to our office and quite a bit of dust was floating around our server room and got into out systems.    So yesterday, unplugged the server, removed it from the rack and proceded to clean it.  I alos opened the server to check how much dust had accumulated on the inside, which wasn't bad, but I did need to vaccum the heatsink were dust had built up.  I put everything back together, re-racked it, plugged everything up and now I have nothing.   I get  no video signal from the front or back port, I get no error messages on the front display, no errors from the LED indicators, and the KVM I initially had it hooked up to acts like there is nothing plugged in at all.   Curious to know if there is console capabilities through the serial port, and if anyoneelse has run into this problem, or just may have a suggestion.   Thanks Clint

There is no console through the serial port, if you have a DRAC card installed you can get to a remote console.  Check the manual, there my be a jumper for video that you accidentally moved.

Thanks for the advise,    I found a troubleshooting page on the dell support site that I will post if I can find it again.    Ended up that the motherboard went out, but since ther server is still under warranty, no problem.  Called dell out yesterday afternoon, server is backup and running.   Still unsure of the cause. Hi Clint,

I'm having same problem - No video signal on Poweredge 2850.

I just had server shipped from another location. I did remove the cover and take out and replace the RAID memory module.

I boot it and all seems ok - the LCD at the front is blue, but I have no video signal and it won't go any further .

Do you have the link to to troubleshooting guide?

When you said the motherboard went out, did you mean it was faulty and had to be replaced? Was this very expensive?
