1150 will not turn on

Question

Hello, I have a INSPIRON 1150, that is 6 months old.  All of a sudden it will not boot up. With the battery removed and AC power connected.   The 1st light on the front flashes rapid green. The 3rd Light on the front flashes rapid yellow.    They flash the moment AC power is applied, with or without the top being opened.   Pushing the power botton does nothing, screen alway dark and never any cap lights or any other noises happening such as the fan.   Please let me know if anyone may have thoughts or suggestions. Call Dell. The system needs a new mainboard. They will replace it under warranty.

Don't forget that Dell is selling computers with 90 day warranties now.

When the 1150 was a current model, only the 1000 had a 90 day warranty.

I am facing the same problem with my 1150 i called up dell, the problem is with the motherboard or processor get dell tech support on it rite away, the prob with my machine was cozed by over heating
