If you can get it started, then you may want to run the
Dell Diagnostics. However, if the system will not start consistenly, then you need to contact
Technical Support.
I found the problem to my insprion 1000. My brother works on these things for a living, and he told me to unplug the battery, and anything else plugged into it before booting it up.
He said leaving the wireless card was ok. Well, I tried it,..and it worked!! Its been working since that afternoon I posted this messAGE. I made a new thread about it for others.
It wasnt always like this. I also ran a dx test,..and it said I had no problems but that cANT BE TRUE. Anyhow...it boots up fast and find, as long as my battery and mouse is not plugged in. After its booted up,..I plug my battery in,..and my mouse.
