hi firstly will the inspiron have speakers, sound obviously and a space for headphones. Secondly is the intel pro wireless 2200 the card which will enable wireless online connection, with a router. So do i just need a router and this intel pro wireless thing? And lastly do i need a wireless card thing in my main pc as well? Cheers for the help! :)

The 2200 card is one of many that will enable a wireless connection. Yes, you would buy an 802.11g router to go with that card.
If the main PC sits next to the high speed modem (cable or dsl) and is plugged into it, all you need to do is plug the router between those two machines. Therefore, the desktop would NOT need a wireless card.

Any leading brand - Linksys is top rated. Only get a G router. Any other ones gain you nothing with your Intel card.
