Attach an external monitor. Does the same thing happen?

How can i attach an external monitor to it?

Plug the monitor into the video out socket on back of the system.

I plugged it into another monitor and so far all is well. But everytime I have logged into the computer today this message has come up:
 
MICROSOFT WINDOWS
The system has recovered a serious error
A log of this error has been created
 
 
does this have somethign to do with the problem?
 
and since I hooked it up to this other monitor and all seems okay, what's the problem and how should I go about fixing it? HELP Please!

If the external monitor is OK, there's a fault with the LCD panel or the connection between it and the mainboard.

If you are under warranty, call Dell. If you're not, and you're not comfortable disassembling the system, contact a repair shop.
