Gaming on 9300

Question

Hi, I just recently ordered a 9300 with the 1.60 pent.M and the nividia 6800 go card. I am wondering if this is good enough to play most games with? Half life 2 etc. I don't really care about having the ultimate performance gaming system, I just want to be able to play some games with out them slowing to a crawl etc.

How about having a ATI 128mb graphic card instead of a Nvidia? Can runs games like HL2, Doom3 and FarCry? Just received my i9300 yesterday evening.

I have the inspiron 6000 with the 128mb X300 card, and it handles Far Cry and Half Life 2 surprisingly well. I can run Far Cry on Medium-High settings, and HL2 on medium settings, and they both run seamlessly. Unless you want every single detail turned on, your card should handle those games just fine! The ram also helps quite a bit - I have 1 GB and my inspiron flies.
