The fan wont run all the time, only as needed. If you run the Diags you can make it run. I dont know why you changed the wiring, as if it is the correct fan the wiring will be right. I would put it back as it was and test with the Diags.
I have an image of the Mainboard. There you can see how the wires of the fan are connected (on the left). Could somebody say if that is correct as it is ? (this ist the original state after I opened it)
Hmm I searched for Threads about my Notebook. Somebody said the fan would just start if the CPU gets very hot. I would like to know at which temperature it starts. I wouldn't like to see my CPU burn. :)
