If I were you, I 'd not have ordered an ATI mobile Radeon card for replacement. I have a lot of display troubles (even with Excel in Office 2k !!) with my i8600 with a mobile Radeon 9600pro 128MB card. I did some comparative tests between i8600s wth Radeon 9600pro and nVidia Go5650 (both of them 128MB), the pros comes to nVidia that has no any probelm with the common officing softwares and other graphic softwares I am using. I have asked Dell Tech Support to solve the problem since this April but no solution comes out till now.
Checking on-line yesterday, I noticed my ordered was cancelled. After re-establishing the order, I asked if an nVidia card was available and they said yes. As of now, I have a nVidia card (N1539 Card,Graphic,128MB,NV31,8600).

It seems Ejn63 kowns more about the availability of the graphic card for i8600.
Maybe Radeon X600 is an option if a GeForce card is not available? But definitely not Radeon 9600pro.

Here's an update:

Thanks for the input on this issue!
