Replacing the Intel 2200BG card will likely solve your problem. The Intel cards have buggy drivers which result in low transmit strength [causing connection problems].

Jerry, (if you read this again) do you know if the 2915ABG card is a better card then the 2200BG? I can order one of those instead..

I have exactly the same problems as described in another topic. Moreover, I am using a Dell True Mobile 2350 with the last drivers on. Everything is fine using wires, but my connection is dropping all the time on the wireless mode.

When I am using FTP within my home network using wireless, same problems, the transfer is not continuous. It's stopping all the time, then restarting.

Last, today my Wireless Connection even disapeared from the windows network connection menu. I really think there is a hardware problem with this card.

My Inspiron 8600 is still covered by the guarantee but I bought it in China, I live in France now. What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your reply,

Matt

Thanks, I'm going to give a call to change this card.
