I just got a brand new inspiron 9300 and a brand new ram card to go with it, but I don't know how to install it or even how to open the computer. I've installed hardware on my desktop and I know my mac opens through the keyboard, but not sure how I should approach the inspiron. I don't want to mess up this new beauty in my life!

Whether it was made by Dell (actually bought from Dell since Dell does not make memory) or not, if it does not MATCH the other card then your computer is not using dual channeling.
