it does mena you'll have to replace your harddrive (or definitely should), but doesn't mean that absolutely everything ont he harddrive is lost.  The uncorrectable/unreadable data may just be a couple of major windows files.
 
You can hook this hdd up to another pc as a secondary hdd and you may be able to read other parts of the hdd and recover data.
