Help with Loopback 127.0.0.1

Question

Hello everyone,  I have ran into a problem that AOL, dell, and microsoft has not solved for me yet. I am sure there is a simple fix so let me explain what has happened and see if you can help. I was a bellsouth and AOL user I decided to go solely with AOL and unistalled the software for bellsouth. Now this is my Hurdle, since i have done the install IE has the loopback ...connecting to site 127.0.0.1 but nothing ever loads no error message like a broken record trying real hard to load but goes nowhere. I can surf all the webpages i want through AOL, but the minute i open IE i get nowhere. I have reset winsock and done a few other things but nothing has solved my problem. Thanks for helping Kevin

127.0.0.1 is your network adapter and no website exists on your network adapter which would explain why you get nothing. Did your browser get set up with a proxy? To check, open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options. Click on the Connections tab, then click on the LAN settings button. Make sure none of the boxes have checkmarks.

Great LAN had two checks one was Auto the other was use proxy, i unchecked both but still no luck. Thanks Kevin
