2005FPW 20' Monitor

Question

Received my new 20' monitor yesterday, works fine. Would like to make use of the 1680 X 1050 resolution but Dimension 4300 came with a 16MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra card which only supports a max res of 1280 X 1024. Can anyone recommend a suitable graphics card.

Any modern graphics card will be fine. If you're not going to do any gaming at all get an x300 or 6200, whicever is cheaper for a decent brand. If you do some occasional gaming, look for a 6600GT. for higher end gaming look at x800's

Thanks for your response. I ordered a NVIDIA Geforce4 MX 440. (£22.79). I thought my AGP bus would be a limiting factor so I went for fairly low spec. It does support DVI-out which I understand will give a sharper image!
