Thanks for your concern. We safely evacuated to Houston before the storm hit. We have worked our way back to Destrehan ( just west of New Orleans) and have set up a base with a group of other families. We have electricity thanks to a natural gas powered generator and we also have internet service. We went in to look at our house yesterday and with the exception of some minor wind damage, everything is as we left it - no flooding, no looting. Still, it will be a while before we can move back. There will be lots to do in the coming months. There are many people who are much less fortunate than us - please offer them any help you can.
Good to see you back and in one piece. I'm glad to hear your fortune was much better than what we have seen on television.
