It could be a sign you need to change your CMOS battery

A consideration, even though the unit is only 1 yr old. I never replaced the battery in my last Dell laptopn & i had it 7 years!

yeah we have another topic dedicated to it not turning on. i remember when my computer did work, the time would be off sometimes and be correct other times, without any interaction by me.
