it'll snap out if you tug it a little, I used a screwdriver to pry up the right hand side, then just pulled it up with my hands, there's a few places where it snaps into place, but I don't think you should break anything.
to be on the safe side, maybe you should call up tech support, have them tell you to remove it, that way if you break anything it should be covered under warrenty?
