Your PC is either infected with something or the CD drive is bad or the hard drive is dying. Word will not just remove itself and if you do have the CD disk for MS office, which includes Word, and it won't install then something is wrong. Start by doing a online virus scan. If that comes back clean then look to the other possible causes of your problem.

Does your optical drive read any CDs be they audio or data?
