Question about light leakage on 2005FPW

Question

Got my new 2005, really like it.  I don't appear to have any pixel issues which is good, however there is back light leakage in the lower right quadrant, moderate leakage in the lower left quadrant, and bad leakage in the upper left quadrant.   I have read on some notebook forums that light leaks can go away after a month or so of usage.  Has anyone seen this, or is it just that you get used to it?   I really don't like the leakage when watching movies or playing games with dark backgrounds, but I am not sure about sending it back and perhaps getting one with dead or locked pixels.   Thoughts? Hate to bump my own message.  But after firing up Doom2:ROE tonight, I really don't like the huge light leak in the lower right quadrant, it discolors the game there. Anyone have any clues as to how prevelant this sort of thing is?  If I do an exchange (still in 21 day period), am I likely to get one that doesn't have such bad leakage? (btw I have the A02 rev)   DJB

It won't go away. You should request a replacement. I have a 1905fp and had mine replaced for just that reason.

Thanks for the response. I suppose I will. Just keep my fingers crossed I dont get one with dead pixels instead.   DJB
