1600N Paper Jam [1], No Cartridge error

Question

I Have a Dell 1600N printer in my office. After I removed the paper jam, the screen on the printer says Paper Jam [1], No Cartridge error. I have swicthed cartridges to no avail. There are no remnants of the paper lodged in the printer that I can see. I have even reset the printer settings and that hasnt worked. Should I do a complete reinstall?

Hi,   try to remove the cartridge and check if the sensor under the cartridge moves correctly (little black plastic part)   Frumble :smileyhappy:

We got the same error message; installing a new cartridge did not help. We then opened the rear cover and blew some dry air through the rollers and whiskers in the paper path. The error message went away.
Since this happened with a relatively new cartridge, and only our second one at that, I plan to do this regularly when changing the cartridge.
