David,

For some reason I am getting a bad checksum error on downloading the Detection Rules. All the other downloads succeeded, English Help, etc... odd.
I need to check Ad-Adware updates and will get back.

Best Regards

try a different spybot server... recently, it seems like safer networking#1 (europe) has been the most reliable

Windows Security Center.AntivirusDisable.Notify

is  simply an "advisory notification" from Spybot that this setting (part of windows security center alerts) has been changed from its expected/default value.  it does NOT necessarily indicate a problem --- if either you, OR your anti-virus program made the change, it's fine ---- so unless you specifically know something to the contrary, it's best to leave these entries alone.

 if you're interested,  you can read the ongoing [4 page long] debate about these here:

David,

Since you are on-line, Ad-Adware came up clean, suprised, usually tracking cookie here or there from my niece adventures.
However Spy-bot found one:
Windows Security Center.AntiVirusDisableNotify: Settings (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify!=dword:0

Seen this before?

when the servers are "over-worked", it often results in the "bad checksum" error.  until about two weeks ago, i had best results with local/USA servers... and impossible results if i happened to be downloading from australia.   in the past week or two, european servers have worked better for me.   but could just be the time of day, and amount of users trying to access it.  as long as ONE of them eventually worked for you
