I use a Radeon 9100 128MB PCI. I ran a pixel test on mine the right out of the box. During the pixel test, blue was a color it displayed and it seemed to work just fine. Of course, that is when I had it hooked up to VGA through a laptop. I will try the blue screen when I get a chance. When I talked to Dell support, I was on the phone for an hour. He said if it happened again to call them back and leave a message and they would call me back. I did, they didn't. I am not too happy with them about it. I will have to call again and hopefully get a new one or get it resolved.
That is the second time for me to be on the phone for over an hour... Now, I have an extension # that doesn't exist and will have to wait on the phone for another 30 minutes to get someone to finish the case. Worst support ever! I have always bragged on Dell until now. What do you bet they try to replace my monitor with a refurb? I am truly unhappy!

After playing with it for a few days, I actually installed the drivers from Dells website, NOT FROM THE DELL CD THAT CAME WITH THE MONITOR, as I had been doing all along and I have not had the problem since. To the best of my knowlege I changed nothing else. (I am using a GeForce 5500 PCI 256) Maybe it's a fluke and my LCD just got better... I don't know. No way is this a plug for Dell. I did not even try to contact tech support due to the lousy experience that I have already had with them. It's worth giving a shot as I am pretty certain that is what worked for me.
I went to the Dell FTP site and D/L R91058.EXE. I installed it ignoring the list of Dell computer models it displayed as I have a E-Machine. (Don't Laugh, They at least provide some kinda support) Followed the readme reluctantly because I doubted it would work... I have not had a problem since. I am using the DVI but am still only to go to 1600X1200 without panning the display, but that is my card not the LCD. 1920X1200 works fine with the analog cable. Hope this helps.
Oh, and by the way, Dell support only got worse. I have called like 10 times in the last 24 hours and still have absolutely no help and no way of getting my monitor replaced.. I really dislike them now.

I should have repeated 2405 not 2005!!! Sorry the original gripe was the same with the same results with the replacements so I thought I thought it might not be hardware related. I hope I did not confuse anyone. Try the the 2005 drivers from the same section. Maybe they will help. (Crawls back to his 2405 thread)
Thanks for the help Hex. Us 2005fpw owner's don't mind hanging out with the 2405 owners at all. Thanks for all the info. Hopefully this helps, because Dell sure doesn't give a rats behind.

I changed cables and it seems to have no effect. The screen was still wonky.

And try this, set your background to a solid blue. I'd be interested to know what happens. My new display goes completely wonky as did my first one.

Grab the R86087.exe file.
Haven't tried it yet, and won't until friday. This file is for the 2005FPW. Please post your results. Hex seemed to indicate that this worked for him.
