9300 Always Charging at 98%

Question

My Insipiron 9300 is about six months old.  I leave it plugged into power almost all the time.   Recently I noticed that the icon in the system tray says it's charging, all the time.  The battery says either 99% or 98% full.  Also the battery LED flashes green once every three or four seconds.   I tried rebooting the laptop and also unplugging the power and plugging it back in.  It still says that it's charging away and never completes charging.  This has been going on a few days now.   Not a big problem because it doesn't stop me from using the laptop but I wonder if it means something is wrong.   Thanks   Stephen

Mine does the same thing. I bought it in late April, and it starting doing that about a month ago. What's happening!?

Mine has just started doing the same thing, I will be calling dell.

Thoughts on it are - Power supply wiring has failed, maybe the ID wire?

or the internal voltage regulators on the board have gone bad. :( Or, the

battery itself may have, but there are no error codes coming off the battery.

If anyone has an Update on this situation concerning the i9300s please respond
