can not change the refresh rate for Inspiron 6000

Hello,   I'm trying to change the refresh rate for my Dell Inspiron 6000.  When I go to Display Properties / Settings / Advanced / Monitor, I can only see 60 Hz and nothing else. I usually prefer at least 85Hz.   I have the ATI Radon X300 video card with 128 mb and the 15.4 inch UltraSharp WUXGA LCD Panel.   How can I change the refresh rate?  I think I may need to update the Display driver, but I can't find one on the Dell site.  The Monitor type says 'Default Monitor' and nothing else.   Please help !!..   Thank you sooo much.   -s

Unless you're changing the setting for an external, CRT monitor, the setting is meaningless. LCD panels do not use refresh rates.

If the setting is for an external CRT, install the driver for your CRT (the internal display panel needs no driver).

You cannot change the LCD refresh. Its fixed at 60Hz.
