Inspiron 5150 - Extreme Fan Noise Problems

Question

I have owned my Inspiron 5150 for about 18 months. My fan first began spinning faster and more frequently and making more noise. Then as it continued, my fan started making a squeeky/hissing noise that was so extremely loud I was forced to shut off my laptop. Unfortunately, after 12 hours of being off, the moment I turned my laptop back on, the noise returns. It honestly sounds as if like a mouse has been trapped inside of the fan (obviously the fan is too small for this, but I'm trying to give an example of how this sounds). Doe anyone know what may be wrong??

As far as preventive measures, only that you need to keep your fan area blown out and clean - also the heastsink area. It is just a minor part failure. Your remark is kind of like saying that an auto manufacterer doesn't care if you have a flat tire. Things happen. Fans are moving parts that are in a dusty, hot environment. Yeah it was the ball bearings. Anyone know how I could prevent this from happening again? It seems a little ridiculous to me that they would go out so soon but Dell doesn't really seem to care.

$200...Dell doesn't just let you fix the minor problem that is the ball bearings. You must replace the entire fan area. Thats basically the most frustrating part.
