verizon wireless pc card

Question

I have a  dell inspiron 6000 and the verizon pc5700 card does not work. does any one have an answer.

Right click on 'My Computer' and click on 'Properties' and click on the 'hardware' tab then click on 'Device manager' and tel me what you see in the 'PCMCIA adapters'

the only thing i see in PCMCIA adapter is the following--Ricoh R/rl/5c476(11) or compatible cardbus controller
