I totally agree. The inspiron is no good. Also, Dell "support" is non existent. I will NEVER buy another Dell product!!!

amen to that

a laptop dealer told me dells had the highest turnover rate, but i took my chances anyways.

talk about leaning the hard way.

sean, aqstech.com or a similar shop can repair the computer for a lot cheaper than a new board will cost you...

Yea i have a 5150 and its horrible.  It just sits under my bed and im paying for wireless internet.  Dell is the worst for laptops and I will never refer them to anyone.

I recently posted this thread to air my grievances with dell and their lack of customer service. Today I apologize and withdraw from this post. Dell took a look at my laptop eventually and fixed it free of charge. They had to change the motherboard which I know can cost a lot of money. I am greatfull to dell and I thank them. Others who feel as I used to should be patient and dell will surely get back to you.
