I have the 5100cn and downloaded the PDF file from Dell with everything I could use as far as how to use it, Q&A's etc. I think it was on the support page.
I'm not sure how exotic is is though. Having to set a network printer both in the software and at the printer seems very old technology. Such as printing an envelope and having to set the printer to print an envelope, paper type etc. That is what software is for.
i'm having the same problem.. i currently hate the output of my 5100cn but it has about 900 permutations of the driver color image recognition resolution profile settings which i have no idea what to expect it to do.. i've tried a handful of them and nothing make this printer approach the quality of the cheaper 3100cn. anyone have any idea or is the 5100 really just sold on it's speed and no one cares that it is of lower quality output.?
