Got hit with Spyaxe,SpyFighter, ended up with four virus and 186 spywears. was unable to restore to a later date . Every time i tryed  it didnt accept.  I made the mastake and perched the spyaxe off the net, got rid of those virus and spyware. Now my computer locks up and reboots. I know that I need more memory. I have also been unable to get into some of my programs I think that I will have to reformat my hard drive once again.

I got it too I downloaded Spyware Doctor from PCTools and it worked fine you can also go to www.precisesecurity.com and in the lower right corner select spyware stike from the Top Spyware Threats category.  It has pretty well detailed manual removal instructions.

I used the following link for Spyaxe and got rid of it. It takes about 3-4 keystrokes and it will automatically restart your computer.

After running the program, I also ran AVG, Adaware and Spybot.

I have also added a router and have now been free of virus and popups for about 2 weeks.

I don't promise anything for you, but it helped me.

As far as buying Spyware Doctor, it worked for me but it took a second try with the updates for it that I downloaded friday (13th). There have been so many threads about this and so many solutions it's really hard to  figure. I did the manual method and Spyware Strike came back! My favorite was Symantec's solution (and you had to really search for it), locate the Spyware Strike folder and delete it! Along with instructions on how to delete a file!

At any rate the Spyware Doctor seems to be pretty good and I'm glad that Spyware Strike is gone!
