This is most likely caused by a firewall blocking local network access. On any computer running Windows XP with SP1, disable the Windows XP firewall. It will not allow File and Printer Sharing. On computers running Windows XP with SP2, make sure that the Windows XP firewall has File and Printer Sharing checked off on the Exceptions tab. If you are running any third party firewalls, like those provided by such programs as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security, or McAfee Security Suite, make sure they are configured to allow local network traffic.
I disconnected firewall and still nothing. I contacted my ISP ( Adelphia ) who provides Freedom Software's "Firewall" and this was response, "Freedom firewall is program based. It wouldn't block something like a router". Thanks for reading and responding.
Another question, everytime I run Wizard, it selects a different connection as the most likely. In reality, which one is the right connection? Local Area (Intel PRO/100) network adapter or 1394 Connection?

What do you mean that you "disconnected firewall". You can remove the firewall or disable it. I don't understanding disconnecting it. Furthermore, I don't understand the following statement "Freedom firewall is program based. It wouldn't block something like a router". Program based firewalls can be configured to block anything. If you have doubts completely remove it or disable it.
Your 1394 connection is your firewire port. This is not normally used in networking.
99.9% of the time the problem you are having is due to a firewall. The other 0.1% is due to some other misconfiguration of Windows that would be very difficult to find. Have you rebooted all computers?
First, try resetting the router by simply turning it off, waiting a minute or so, then turning it back on. Then give the computers a few minutes to acquire new IP addresses and see if it works. If it doesn't try disabling file and printer sharing on each computer, rebooting, then re-enabling file and printer sharing.
Thanks again, but no, this didn't work. I am open to more suggestions. Ever hear of a product called Network Magic? Am I looking at reloading Windows as a possible solution?
