Hello all! I just formatted out my d6000 and installed win2k professional/svp4. I am able to install all w2k drivers for all my devices and except for one that is listed in Device Manager as "PCI Device". I'm assuming that's the infrared driver from theDell™ Notebook System Software install is needed. The problem is when running through the install I get a error message saying "This computer does not support this operating system". How can that be if w2k drivers are on the web site? Has anyone came across this problem before? Could it be that the NSS install doesn't support Windows 2000 Professional? Rather strange...
If you click on Notebooks above, then Inspirons then Downloads, you will be able to put in your system and OS and see all the drivers including NSS.
I installed that SD driver and that fixed the problem. I still can't install the NSS software. I tried the latest and the oldest with the same error message. Anyone?
Thanks for your reply but I did downloaded the latest driver and still getting that error message. I tried going back to the older version but it still not working. Can someone help me please! All,

Yes I had the same issue, and had tried all version of drivers, I still get the "not supported operating system" message.
I've tried to find answers elsewere with not success, 3 years ago peoples from dell were reading those open issues in the forum and were giving answers, now it seems we are up to ourselfs.

the latest version of NSS is only supported by xp sp2.
suggest you try an earlier version!
as for your problem I suspect it's down to your SD reader as the 6000 doesn't have an IR port. suggest your try the driver linked below.
