Mr_Spock,

Dell doesn't offer vivo (video in/video out) support on it's video cards.

Hello (again) from Mr_Spock

And why not? It seems to me that since there's very little difference on the video cards offered, on a cosmetic angle anyway that this would be available. For small fee naturally since appropriate software would also be needed.

It cost more for Dell to have vivo hardware on video cards.

Hello!
It does? According to the information I was given, before Dell made the disasterous decision to outsource its support services that his (thecomputer's) video card is approximately the same as the ones once offered for sale from local computer stores. The only difference is that the company, Dell, requested minor changes in the microcode that ATI wrote for the card. And that the card itself is the same as these for sale cards, as from the local computer stores.

Therefore I find fault with your logic. Especially since ATI tells me that the daughterboard connector on this card would have been used for just such a device, if it was still available. ATI insists that it is an obsolete device, and not available. In fact they do not even know where they are available. If at all. So the fact remains, and so does the question I asked earlier. I suggest you bring it to the attention of someone else within the Dell staff community.
