PRINTER SPOOLER NOT INSTALLED?

i recently tried to print something from my 720.  and it did not print so i looked at the installed printers and neither of my printers are in there.  i then unistalled both the hp and the dell printers and reinstalled the drivers and then tried to add printers once again and it tells me print spooler is not running.  how can i fix this problem?

trying to re-install my Lexmark x74-x75 printer, but keep getting message, either "print spooler service not installed" or the questions "spooler service stopped? start spooler service" and when I reply yes, nothing happens. please help. thanks
