did not think to check the Event Viewer since the error message given instructed to check Dell Diagnostics which I did, running the tests under the blue screen problem area. None of these tests of memory and IDE adapter showed any defined issues to follow up on and all showed a pass. The error message also suggested changing the video adapter which I did by upgrading that driver from the Dell website.
