I have a E171FP and I ot a new computer but couldn't connect the moniter. Now I fixed the old omputer & I still have a white screen. do you think the soldering would work on it?
Finally, after 3 years, I could fix my E151FPb monitor following your clear instructions. I could see with good light the two "broken" solder joints of the coil and there were no electrical connection with one of them. I resoldered them and the monitor worked again.
