Can I remove the LCD?

Question

My LCD broke on my 600m notebook. Can I remove the LCD top and still use the base as a (desktop) computer? Will the powersupply or software be effected? Thanks

I am not sure about that, but you can purchase a replacement screen and install it yourself.

just leave it as is. you can configure the power settings on the laptop to 'do nothing when lid is closed' and use a external monitor. good luck

I understand that, but if I remove the whole lid, with the LCD, will I be able to use the base as a desktop? Thanks
