Go to task manager and check % cpu usage. If its too high like in the 80-90% with no programs running, then its a m/b issue. Call them and they will replace the m/b
Me and a friend just reinstalled the OS from scratch because we both upgraded our drives to a 7200 rpm drive and got in touch with Dell and they gave us the OS disks because the OS are installed on the HD that came with the laptop. That is how we got the disks, i'm not sure if they will give the disk to you because you still have the drive in the laptop that came with OS installed. But no problems here with the comp. ever since. but last resort, but might be worth it if your laptop doesn't work and can't figure out the problem.
