2405fpw and powerbook G4 resolution

Question

I just purchased the 2405fpw and when connecting it to my powerbook G4 (2 yrs old), the 1920 x 1200 resolution only displays at about the same size as my powerbook screen (15 inches). I have to reduce the resolution to 1344 x 840 for the display to use most of the screen. I have tried to use the zoom setting on the monitor but that only stretches it another inch or two. Is there any way to have it fill up the full 24 inch display or at least something close to it with 1920 x 1200? Any help would be great.

I have PB G4 15inch,and don't have any problems. Are you using 'mirror' mode? then you can't use 1920x1200.

I was using mirror mode and it was allowing 1920 x 1200 except it wouldn't show larger than 16 inches on the dell. When I turned off mirror mode, it used the dell monitor as an extended screen - a side by side monitor. What is the way to make the dell be the main monitor and show the desktop?

You can do it by dragging menu bar in the second tab of the 'Display' configuration window.
