These drivers are for external monitors. You don't need any of these drivers, just use windows setting for your LCD.

Even so, are there drivers for the INSPIRON 6400 laptop monitor so we'll be using all features the monitor can give? The "default monitor" windows xp default driver dates year 2001.

The Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 is giving a maximum resolution to 1280 x 800, to what I think its pretty low in comparison to my older laptop an Inspiron 8200.

I have the same problem.
I just got me sparkling new Inspiron about a week ago, and the first thing I did was to clean out all the mess and reinstall Windows.

But now I cant install the proper screen driver from my driver CDR that came with the laptop.

When I go to the settings for my screen, all I get is the standart res. as if I had a 'normal' 3:4 monitor. 1024x768 and so on... Everything look very weird and stretched...

So, where do I get the proper driver for my monitor?
Please Dell, or whoever reads this, help!

Inspirons do not have monitors--they're called screens or displays. Look under Video Adapter (last category in the list) for your correct video driver. Did you install the chipset drivers and notebook system software first before all other drivers? http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&os=WW1&osl=EN
