yes definitely. you can connect an external keyboard in your computer. You need to buy a USB Keyboard or a USB wireless Keyboard but never a P/S 2 Keyboard. You can plug the USB Keyboard at the back of the INSPIRON 1000. You have 3 USB ports at the back.
