I can verify that also......I received the "reinstallation cd's" in the mail a couple
of weeks ago. The red cd, contained the OEM of XP, the blue cd, contained drivers etc...
I just did a wipe of my original HD, to get rid of the 8gig partition for the
"reinstall factory" waste.
The red reinstallation CD that came with my E1505 contained the Windows media center 2005 reinstall software apparently OEM from Microsoft, but also something else that ran automatically after the Windows install, bringing up a red box with a message not to touch anything until this other software was installed. It appeared to be installing junk software, so I stopped it. While it was running, an ESPN icon appeared on the desktop. Any idea what's going on with the reinstall CD? Looks to me like a Dell junkware installer was added to the Windows OEM installer.
