I had a similar problem when I connected the tuner through the docking station, but rebooting the computer allowed the tuner to be found. Make sure the USB cable is connected and that the green light on the tuner is on solid (not blinking). Try rebooting if all else fails.
your tuner should be connected to an antenna source. Cable tv, etc. Then you should be connecting your tuner to one of the USB ports on your laptop, the remote receiver goes in the other usb port. The tuner should have a power cord and there should be a green power light that comes on. Then you have to set it up within media center. First off, let us know if you have all the steps I mentioned. If you cannot get into the setup menu after that I can try to help further.
