Was the card larger than 1GB? The current driver doesn't support cards larger than 1GB, and from what I understand Dell has no intention of providing an upgrade.

So does it means that I can only read up to 1GB data? Or will I read nothing at all if I stick a 2GB SD card?

Unfortunately, it means you can read nothing at all from the card if it is larger than 1GB. I don't know if it is a hardware limitation or if it could be fixed with firmware, my call to tech support didn't yield any more information than that it doesn't work.

I called Dell Tech in Edmonton and they sent a tech next day. Spent 45min, changed the motherboard and now it is working.

Today, I download Flash Memory/SD Reader, Driver to allow reading "SD  2G".
It is working fine.

But I cannot find similar driver upgrade for my Dim 4300 desktop.
