BIOS UPDATE

Question

Is it better to update to to A32 from A31. Currently I cannot update because it states to have the battery and AC plugged in. I have both. I bought a new AC cord and still nothing!

if this is for a 5100 then those in the know suggest that A31 is better than A32.

It is for 1100. It only show a AC icon when charging. Battery and battery setting when the battery is fully charged. DELL suggest a BIOS update to fix this issue.

you can try forcing the flash be adding /forceit to the bios flash command line i.e. biosname.exe /forceit please note that there is a space between exe and /

hey man Im having an issue with my a32 upgrade for my 5100, its saying my vendor is different and not a supported system, I was trying to use the forceit thing but it wont let me add the / I sure wish you were more specific on where to add this....
