If you PM Chris M. as per his Sticky'd thread details on this, it will ensure that you receive an A02 when dispatch starts working on them.
If you desire to call Dell and receive an exchange that way, my guess is you should try no earlier than June 9th. Even then, i'd wait for the word from Chris that Dell Support is aware of the issue and giving out A02s. If you call before Chris gives the word, my guess is you'll be met with the standard routine of them not being aware of the current problems and sending you an A01.
In essence, drop Chris a PM now and enjoy your A01 for the next few days(weeks?) until a fresh A02 arrives at your door step. If you try the calling route, you may be in for some frustrations in trying to even get a replacement, as well as possible even getting another A01.
I just received my 2407 today (ordered it on the 5th of June) and according to the sticker on the back it is an A00. I verified that it has the banding problem, and I sent DELL-ChrisM my information as per the sticky at the top of the forum. Hopefully I'll receive word soon acknowledging the exchange.
