Media Player 11 - Inspiron 9300 Media Center 2005 Edition

Hi There! I have an inpiron 9300 media center 2005 edition. I tried to insttalled Media Player 11 but it will not let me.This is the message I get 'UNSUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEM.DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE ROLLUP 2 FOR WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTRE EDITION 2005 BEFORE INSTALLING WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11. I went on the microsoft update website to update my ops system but it will not install rather directed me to go to dell's website since they might have a better customise update for my system. I cannot find anything on the dell's website. Can anyone show me how to get around this and install the media player 11 and any update I will need from dell's website. If I need to install any patches or drivers. Thanks for your help.

Automaic update of Rollup 2 failed. Tried the Download path and it failed too. Have Media Center Edition 2005 (XP SP 2) on Dell 9100 with ATI 300 with latest drivers and bios and .NET 1.1 with SP 1 (reinstalled once already to eliminate as problem). Run IE 7.0 Beta. Two ATI TV Wonder Elite Tuner Cards. Will not load new Media Player 11 Beta without the rollup installed first.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.
